The use of antibiotics in the veterinary field is increasing so much that trigger negative consequences to human health, animals and the environment. For this reason homeopathy may be a viable alternative to antibiotics.
This led to a study on a pig farm to prevent a known pathogen: Escherichia coli cause diarrhea.
So in a commercial herd of pigs were selected 52 women in the last month of gestation. The sample was then divided into 2 groups randomly with the criterion to which one was given twice a week on the homeopathic substance: Coli 30K, while the other received only placebo. The 525 pigs born from 52 females were then checked to assess the frequency and duration of diarrhea.
pigs born from the group that received the homeopathic treatment had episodes of diarrhea caused Escherichia coli less severe and less frequent than those born in the group receiving the placebo.
